DIVISION 421 - EGGS
Eggs must be the property of the exhibitor, 
produced by his/her own hens. Exhibitors must 
have entries in individual poultry classes to enter 
this division.
CLASS 1     (6) large chicken or duck eggs
CLASS 2     (6) bantam chicken or duck eggs

Age as December 31st of previous year
Open to Madera County only
ENTRIES DUE on or before August 7th, 2026
Sunday, August 30th
1    Email current copy of rabies vaccination with 
entry form to livestock office.  
2. Dogs (pure or mixed breed) must belong to the
exhibitor or the exhibitor’s immediate family and
must have been trained by the exhibitor only.
3. Dogs must be on a leash at all times (except
during appropriate obedience classes) and under
control. No dogs will be allowed in the livestock
barns.
4. Unruly or aggressive dogs will be removed. No
females in season will be allowed on the grounds.
5. Exhibitors must enter and participate in an
obedience class to be 	eligible for showmanship.
DIVISION 430 - DOG OBEDIENCE
Entry Fee: $5.00 per entry per class
Heel, Figure 8, Recall & Finish, Stand for Exam, Long 
Sit (1 min.) Long Down (3 min.)
CLASS 1    4-H True Novice exhibiting in Dog 
Obedience for the first time
CLASS 2    4-H Junior- 9 and 10 years of age.   
CLASS 3     4-H Intermediate- 11-13 years of age.  
CLASS 4     4-H Advanced-  14 - 19 years of age.  	
CLASS 5     FFA Novice Showmanship- Exhibiting in 
Dog Obedience for  the first time
CLASS 6    FFA Intermediate 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th 
grade 
CLASS 7    FFA Advanced- 11th grade or older

SHOWMANSHIP
1. Please read Showmanship Rules on pages 55.  
2. Independent exhibitors 9 -13 years old will be
combined with 4-H. Independent exhibitors ages
14 and older will be combined with FFA.  All ages as of
December 31st of the previous year.
3. Independent Exhibitors see Local Rule #4.
4. Winners participate in 4-H or FFA Master
Showmanship in all species.
No Cash Award- Ribbons Only

DIVISION 431 - DOG SHOWMANSHIP
CLASS 1    4-H True Novice Showmanship 
exhibiting for the first time, no prior experience 
with any small species.  1st - 3rd place can advance 
to the age appropriate class.
CLASS 2    4-H Junior Showmanship- 9 and 10 years 
of age.  1st -3rd place can advance to 4-H
 Intermediate class.
CLASS 3     4-H Intermediate Showmanship- 11-13 
years of age.  Winners participate in 4-H 
Intermediate Master Showmanship.
CLASS 4     4-H Advanced Showmanship-  14 - 19 
years of age.  Winners participate in 4-H Advanced 
Master Showmanship.		
CLASS 5     FFA Novice Showmanship- Exhibiting 
for the first time, no prior experience with any small 
species.  1st - 3rd place can advance to the age 
appropriate class.
CLASS 6    FFA Intermediate 7th, 8th, 9th, and 
10th grade (experience with any small species).  
Winners participate in  FFA Intermediate Master 
Showmanship.
CLASS 7  FFA Advanced Showmanship- 11th grade 
or older.  Winners participate in FFA Advanced 
Master Showmanship.
