CLASS 1     Pair of market lambs - 2 market lambs 
owned by 1 exhibitor.

DIVISION 344- MARKET GROUP
Three animals that have been shown in previous 
market classes as specified owned by members of 
one Club or Chapter.  No member may enter more 
than one animal.

CLASS 1     Feeder Lambs - 75 to 99 pounds
SHEEP 
SHOWMANSHIP
1. Please read Showmanship Rules on pages 11.
2. Independent exhibitors 9 -13 years old will be
combined with 4-H. Independent exhibitors ages 14
and older will be combined with FFA.  All ages as of
December 31st of the previous year.
3. Independent Exhibitors see Local Rule #4.
4. Winners participate in 4-H or FFA Master
Showmanship in all species.

1st through 8th place
DIVISION 346- SHEEP SHOWMANSHIP   
CLASS 1    4-H True Novice Showmanship 
exhibiting for the first time, no prior experience 
with any large species.  1st - 3rd place can advance 
to the age appropriate class.
CLASS 2    4-H Junior Showmanship- 9 and 10 years 
of age.  1st -3rd place can advance to 4H 
Intermediate class.
CLASS 3    4-H Intermediate Showmanship- 11-13 
years of age.  Winners participate in 4-H 
Intermediate Master Showmanship.
CLASS 4   4-H Advanced Showmanship-  14 - 18 
years of age.  Winners participate in 4-H Advanced 
Master Showmanship.		
CLASS 5   FFA Novice Showmanship- Exhibiting for 
the first time, no prior experience with any large 
species.  1st - 3rd place can advance to the age 
appropriate class.
CLASS 6   FFA Intermediate 7th, 8th, 9th, and 
10th grade (experience with any large species).  
Winners participate in  FFA Intermediate Master 
Showmanship.
CLASS 7  FFA Advanced Showmanship- 11th grade 
or older.  Winners participate in FFA Advanced 
Master Showmanship.
BREEDING 
SHEEP
1. Flock numbers shall be used to identify all
entries.  Numbers shall be on regular and practical 
ear tags attached to the ear or tattooed in the ear. 
2. Lambs are prohibited from showing yearling
teeth. Lambs must show only lambs teeth.
All ewe lambs will be checked for age at the scale
and weighed for division into classes.
3. All breeding sheep must be enrolled in the scra­
pie eradication program.  Each entry must have an
official I.D. either  USDA scrapie tag or registration
tattoo.
4. All breeding sheep must have an ear tag in the
ear.  Put the flock tag number and USDA scrapie
number on the entry form.
5. Breeding Ewe class will be broken by weight and 
will weigh in with market animals.
