Three animals that have been shown in previous 
breeding classes as specified owned by members of 
one Club or Chapter.  No member may enter more 
than one animal.

MARKET LAMBS 
Livestock Market Exhibitors must submit an Intent 
to Show form including  clear photos of the animal: 
head shot SHOWING SCRAPIE TAG, full right side of 
body, full left side of body, and rear of animal and 1 
image with exhibitor with animal along with a copy 
of a Bill of Sale online at maderafair.com/livestock. 
Tags will be issued to Leaders/Instructors upon 
receipt of submitted Intent to Show and in time for 
the Livestock Market Entry due date, August 7th, 
2026 from Madera District Fair's Main Office.
MARKET INTENT TO SHOW

ENTRIES DUE on or before August 7th, 2026
1. It is the intent of the Division of Fairs and
Expositions and of Fairs that the quality standards
established for market animals be maintained.
Therefore, classifications will be subject to change
in the event there are changes made in Federal
grading.
2. No premiums paid to market animals.
3. Market Lambs must be entered by predominant
breed characteristics on entry.
4. All market lambs must be tagged with a
USDA scrapie program ear prior to arrival to the 
fairgrounds. Scrapie tag # must be included with 
entry. Example: CA000/0123
5. List scrapie ear tag number on entries.
6. Independent Exhibitors see Local Rule #4.
7. All Market Lambs must be slick sheared prior to
entry to the fairgrounds. Leg wool allowed.
8. Market lambs are prohibited from showing
yearling teeth. Market lambs must show only lambs 
teeth
MARKET LAMB SCORECARD
MARKET READY A:       
USDA Prime or Choice quality with 12th rib back fat 
range .16-.35, average or greater conformation and 
cutability. 
NOT MARKET READY:  
Good or lower quality grade with 12th rib back fat 
range .35; 
underfinished lambs grading USDA good or lower, 
below-average conformation or cutability. 
Entry fee: $10.00 per entry per class
No premiums will be paid to market animals

NOTE:  After weighing, market hogs may be divided into 
either weight classes or breed and weight classes as 
determined by Fair management. A minimum of 7 animals 
are needed to create a breed division.  
DIVISION 340- 4-H MARKET LAMB
CLASS 1     Wether or ewe lamb 100 to 150 
pounds.  See Local Rules for exhibiting animals over 
weight limitations. EXCEPTION:  Southdowns & Dor­
pers 90 - 130 lbs.
DIVISION 341- FFA MARKET LAMB
CLASS 1     Wether or ewe lamb 100 to 150 
pounds.  See Local Rules for exhibiting animals over
