REGISTERED EWES
1. All ewes exhibited in this division must comply
with rule #3 under Junior Sheep Division.
2. All entries must be identified on the original en­
try form with a minimum of birthdate and scrapie 
I.D. information. Entries without this information
may be charged a $5 penalty per animal.
3. Original registration papers must be presented
by Tuesday, September 8th by 7PM.
4. Ewes 2 years of age or older must have freshened
at least once to be eligible for show.
5. Classes with less than 3 entries may be com­
bined.
6. A minimum of 7 animals owned by 3 exhibitors is
required to hold the Registered Breeding Division.
If not met, they will be combined with the Wether­
dams. Entrants will be notified after entry closing
so they are aware if they will need to weigh in their
breeding amimals.

breeding classes as specified owned by members of 
one Club or Chapter.  No member may enter more

JUNIOR GOAT DIVISIONS
Livestock Market Exhibitors must submit an Intent to 
Show form including  clear photos of the animal: head 
shot SHOWING SCRAPIE TAG, full right side of body, 
full left side of body, rear of animal and 1 image with 
exhibitor with animal along with a copy of a Bill of Sale 
online at maderafair.com/livestock. Tags will be issued 
to Leaders/Instructors upon receipt of submitted Intent 
to Show and in time for the Livestock Market Entry due 
date, August 7th, 2026 from Madera District Fair's Main 
Office.
MARKET INTENT TO SHOW DUE JULY 7TH, 2026
ENTRIES DUE on or before August 7th, 2026
1. It is the intent of the Division of Fairs and
Expositions and of Fairs that quality standards
established for market animals maintained.
2. Market goats may be Wether or Doe kids.  All
males must be castrated.  Market goats should be
dehorned. Scurs or horn stubs no longer than 1 inch
will be accepted.
3. All Market goats must be owned and cared for
by the exhibitor for 60 consecutive days prior to
opening day of the fair.
