QUILTING
One Best of Division Ribbon will be awarded in each Division with one Best of Show being awarded to 
each skill level.  American System Judging.  Please read general rules on page 8 and the quilting rules 
below.
QUILTING GUIDELINES
1. Quilts will not be accepted without a 4" sleeve
to accommodate a pole for displaying.  Sleeve
directions:  Prepare a strip of fabric 9" wide by
width of your quilt; this strip may be pieced if
necessary.  Fold in half RST to form a long tube.
Stitch a lengthwise 1/2" seam.  Hem the sleeve
ends 1".  Turn the sleeve right side out.  Position the
sleeve, seam side down, on the back of the quilt,
1" below the top edge and 1" in from both sides.
Baste or blind stitch sleeve into place, along BOTH
folded edges, not sewing through the front.
2. All entries must have been made or completed by
the exhibitor within the last 24 months.
3. KIT, defined as "ready to assemble".

1. Decide what division(s) and class(es) you are
entering. 
2. Visit maderafair.com/entry to create a user­
name to enter online.  ONLINE STILL and FLORICUL­
TURE entries are FREE until August 1st, 2025
3. Submit online entry OR paper entry on or before
August 25th, 2026, pay applicable entry fees. 
4. Bring Exhibit on FINAL receiving days, Aug. 31st
or September 1st, 2026.  Unless specific contest
states otherwise.
*My First Quilt “Class 1” in each Division:  Exhibitor
who has made their first quilt and wants to enter
with other beginners.
