Step 1:
Score any sealant
around the
Interior Trim.
Remove the
Interior Trim at
Jambs and
Header.
If the Sill has
been sealed with
Caulk, score it to
break the bond.
Step 2:
Engage the Tilt
Latches and
free the bottom
sash from the
balances on
each side.
Remove the 
bottom sash.
Step 3:
Tilt the top sash in
and then free it
from the balances
on each side.
Remove the upper
sash.
Step 4:
Unscrew the
balances from
each jamb and
put them aside. 
Be careful if the
balance is still
in tension. Use
screwdriver to
turn the bal-
ance shoe lock
to release it
from the track.
Using an 
oscillating tool
cut the jambs
through on each
side. 
Score anywhere
there is sealant
to break the
bond.
