VAPOR BARRIERS ARE USUALLY
VIOLATED WHEN WINDOWS ARE
INSTALLED
   Moisture-laden Air is allowed
   into the Cavity between the
   Rough Opening Framing 
   and the Window Frame.
   Allowing Moisture into the
   Cavity can cause rot or other
   degradation of the installation
   and can lower the thermal 
   performance of the window unit.
   
Nota: En ningún momento ningún sello instalarse de una manera estanca al aire con el fin de actuar como una 
barrera de vapor secundaria que puede atrapar humedad en la cavidad entre el perímetro de la ventana o puerta y la
abertura en la pared.
Para todos los climas distintas de las definidas como "húmedo" por ASHRAE (las regiones costeras de Louisiana, S.
Carolina, Georgia y Florida,), barreras de vapor se recomiendan en el interior, o "lado caliente" de la pared del edificio.
Para la sustitución y renovación de aplicaciones, el sello de tiempo debe ocultarse detrás de nuevo nivelación 
o resistente a la intemperie borde exterior.
